We spoke to over 1,000 participants to find out what it’s like to be an adolescent girl or young woman activist leading the fight for equality today.
For the past 47 years, we have stood with girls to break down the barriers holding them back because when girls move forward, whole communities move with them.
Today, girls continue to face risks and inequalities that affect their lives. In Guatemala, poverty, violence, child marriage and teenage pregnancy continue to limit their choices and threaten their futures.
At Plan International Guatemala, we stand firmly alongside girls to defend their rights and equal opportunities because we believe in their power to transform their lives and communities.
We support girls at every stage of their journey, strengthening their education, health and safety. Working across 571 communities, we partner with families, schools and local leaders through our Unstoppable Generation strategy, creating safer, more equal spaces where girls lead, speak out and grow in confidence alongside their communities.
We won’t stop until we we’re all equal!
