Plan International Ethiopia

We stand with girls to tear down barriers, save lives, and build a future where equality for girls drives progress for all.

Plan International Ethiopia is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

Across Ethiopia, girls face rising risks from hunger and illness to violence, school dropout, and shrinking economic opportunities. But girls are not backing down. And neither are we.

We support every part of a girl’s world: access to nutritious food and lifesaving healthcare, protection from violence, clean water and safe sanitation, inclusive, quality education and youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services. We also help girls and young people build the skills and opportunities they need to earn, lead, and shape their own futures.

Every day, girls in Ethiopia are taking charge — growing up healthy, earning money, staying in school and leading change in their communities.

Together with families, communities, and young leaders, we work to create safer, stronger environments to make sure this progress never stops — and girls continue to learn, thrive and lead change, even in times of crisis.

When girls lead, communities rise.

We won’t stop until we’re all equal
