Ukraine Crisis Response
One year on from the start of the conflict, girls, boys and their families are still facing a humanitarian crisis every day.

Children and families affected by conflict in Ukraine need your support.
Ukraine remains one of the world’s most complex and protracted humanitarian crises. Today, 10.8 million people remain in need of humanitarian assistance, yet funding and access constraints mean only the most severe cases can be prioritised.
This crisis is no longer only about emergency survival. It is about preventing irreversible harm.

This crisis is no longer only about emergency survival. It is about preventing irreversible harm.
Children have endured years of displacement, disrupted education and repeated attacks on civilian infrastructure. Some have spent up to 5,000 hours underground. Mental health support is increasingly lifesaving, as prolonged fear and instability take a heavy toll on wellbeing.
Girls and women face heightened protection risks. Displacement and economic hardship are deepening inequalities and increasing the risk of gender-based violence. Protection services must be sustained – not scaled back.
Since 2022, our response has reached more than 1.7 million people, delivered 87 projects with 65 local partners, and maintained a strongly partner-led model with over 70% of funding channelled directly to partners.
We deliver child protection, mental health support, gender-based violence prevention, cash assistance and safe education programmes.
With your support, we can sustain life-saving protection services, safeguard dignity and help prevent long-term harm to children and their families.
